2007 Subaru Impreza Key Fob Not Working
No its functioning as it is supposed to.
2007 subaru impreza key fob not working. Of course they are working on it. If the alarm is triggered so is the immobilizer. There is a key hole on the driver side. You will crank the key and hit a stop point and be tempted like me to think it s the max it ll turn.
The spring tension doesn t do anything and doesn t unlock the car. If the problem affects both keys then it may be the car s receiver which still should be under warranty for a 2018. Then the alarm would go off when locking the door with the keyfob. If you open the door using the key not fob it doesn t recognize that the doors have been unlocked and obviously if a locked door is opened there s something wrong and the alarm is triggered.
Don t know what key type the sh foresters use but on the earlier sg up to 2007 you need to re sync the key fob after a battery change by pressing the lock button on the remote 6 times. Now there is a door lock issue where the doors will not lock with the keyfob there is a chirp but they don t actually lock. Open the driver s door from the inside and then shut the door after a few seconds. Quickly insert your key into the ignition and toggle the key from lock to on without cranking 10 times within a 15 second time frame.
My gf bought a sport impreza sedan and there were issues with the 8 infotainment system the volume would change. Crank the key to the right. I am assuming the emergency key is the valet key and entering with that may set off your alarm if it is activated. If not one may work fine and the other may have a low battery.
